Seven Gables Mercantile Part-Time Position

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Customer Service and Sales Associate at our retail shop. If you have a passion for antiques, home decor, furniture, and handmade items, combined with excellent customer service and sales skills, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by warmly greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
  • Offer product recommendations and provide detailed information about our diverse inventory of antiques, home decor, furniture, and handmade items.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, resolving issues, and processing sales transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are properly displayed and labeled.
  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking and conducting regular price checks.
  • Manage online listings on various platforms, including uploading product images, writing compelling descriptions, and ensuring accurate pricing.
  • Collaborate with the team to create engaging displays and promotional activities to attract customers.

Requirements:

  • Previous customer service and sales experience, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Knowledge and interest in antiques, home decor, furniture, and handmade items.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in posting and managing online listings is required.
  • Availability to work 15-25 hours per week, including Saturdays and some holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs., help move furniture, and climb a ladder.
